Welcoming Ryker Home

When we got off the airplane, Brent commented that he'd like to kiss the ground.  Brent's not a fan of flying and he was ready to see his biggest boy, and ready to get back into the swing of normal life. After all of the stress, worry, delays, and time away from home, we were both ready be back home and all together as a family under one roof.
As we walked in the door, we were greeted by the pitter-patter of little feet, "They're home!"
Brody was hesitant at first toward his new baby brother and took his time even wanting to take a peek at him.  He hid under a blanket from him. However, it didn't take long and Brody was smothering him, saying, "Hi guy!"

This is the first time these two brothers met.

The first time Brody held Ryker.

My parents stayed the week to help us get settled in and took their turn snuggling our newest family member.
We are forever appreciative and indebted to them for taking care of Brody while we were in Oklahoma.
Thanks a million times over, Mom and Dad.

Aunt Mel popped in for a visit.

I snuck this shot of Brent cuddling with his two boys in Brody's bed while I was cleaning up the kitchen one night.  It does my heart good to see them all together.
Brent's parents came to meet Ryker along with our sister-in-law, Erica, and our niece, Reagan.

Brody frequently asks to hold Ryker-- it lasts for about 5 seconds.

Since Ryker joined our family, we've had a little dose of heaven in our home.
