July 2014

July was a fun-filled month that started with a trip to the cabin to spend the 4th of July with my parents, and my sister and her family.
This is how Brody entertained himself on the drive down.

We left late in the evening on the 3rd, so by the time we arrived our little dudes were tuckered out.

The next morning Brody was pumped to go.  The day was full with a parade, kids' activities in the park, and then fireworks of course.

Something about this stance on that particular day.

After a full day, BD need a little R&R before the fireworks.

Even though it's blurry, this one is my fave.  Brent and Brody are doing 'the firework dance.'

Ryker's face was stoic during the entire show.

Too much excitement for this baby boy.

The next morning Dad and Grandpa took Brody fishing.

Cutest fisherman I ever did see.
Who would've thought a child size Spiderman fishing pole could be functional.
Brody caught lunch, and as you can see was pretty proud.

As always, we had a great visit with our family at the cabin.

The rest of July was filled with random fun
with our two fishes.  These two spent a good amount of time in the water-- and not just the bath.  We set up the pool in the backyard, and took trips to the local pool often.

Looking very astute in Dad's glasses.

Check out the farmer's tan.
Brody was entered in the kids' rodeo in Oakley during the 24th celebration, and he does make one handsome little cowboy.
My parents came down for a few days for the Pioneer Days celebration.

Brody was pumped about the roping event. . . until it was his turn and eyes were on him.  Then the excitement fizzled.
He did rock the mutton busting, however, and ended up 2nd!!

That's one tired buckaroo at the end of a long, but fun week of celebration.

We took the boys to eat in Almo at the steakhouse.

And did a little streaking in the back yard.

These two fall asleep anywhere.
Yup, anywhere.  The window seal was Brody's nap place one afternoon.

Brody went with Brent to round up cattle a few times this summer with the big boys.

Ryker never stopped being cute.

I need my "gobbles," Mom!

Brent won the team sorting and won this belt buckle just for BD.

Best brothers.

Yup, he's my child.

At the end of July, Ryker hit the 8 month mark.

How did I get so lucky to be the mom of these two?
