Deck the Halls

Tree up. . . check!
Christmas card labels (mostly) finished. . .  check!
Majority of Christmas shopping done. . . check!
I think this year is a record for me.  I always intend to put my tree up Thanksgiving weekend, but it rarely happens, and normally I haven't even started Christmas shopping.  I decided this year to start early so I could actually enjoy the season, and not stress the season.
I gotta say, it does feel pretty good so far.
"Christmas Vacation?" (Love that movie)
Ha! Don't be fooled.
I actually don't have all that many lights on my tree.
The settings on my camera just make it look that way.

I can sure get a lot accomplished while this little angel is sleeping.
I didn't dare decorate while he was awake for fear he'd be too much help.
We'll see in the morning how "don't touch" goes ;o)

Christmas always reminds me of my Grandma, Lily Stephens, who happened to be born on Christmas day. She loved Christmas, and always had her house decorated to the fullest- and much of it was hand crafted.  I love that I have some of her Christmas decorations- they take me back to good memories at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

  1. Way to go - the tree is beautiful. I bet he was so excited to see it when he woke up!

Some parents leave the breakable ornaments off but I try to keep them on so they can learn. It usually takes one broken one per year haha. Good luck!

He will be SO fun at Christmas this year!
